Hi, I have a HA green - I cannot access it via my app or computer browser, I can see it on my network and the IP address hasn’t changed, I cant access it via the IP address - I just get safari failed to access it. I have tried restarting it and I have a yellow LED heart beat! Can anyone help? If I need to do a fresh install how do I do that and is it easy enough to restore from back up? I’ve tried a new ethernet cable and bypassed my switch direct to router with no luck. I cant ping it either. Thanks!!
Hi, what do you mean by " I can see it on my network"? Because later you say “I cant ping it either”. If you can’t ping it, you will not be able to acces it with a browser. To me, it sounds like some other device in your network is using the same IP.
How can you check this hypotesis mostly depend from your specific network configuration and devide brand. The most easy way to do that is to set a STATIC IP on PC on the same IP class, and connect directy to the HA gree with an ethernet cable (no router, no switch, just a simple cable).
Example:
HA green IP - 192.168.1.1 - Mask 255.255.255.0
You PC will be - 192.168.1.2 - Maks 255.255.255.0
At first try PING, if ping work, disconnect the cable, it should stop. This is to confirm that you are REALLY pinging HA (an not some eventually additiona static IP on your own PC). Then you can try access HA with the browswer. If this work, you are now sure that the HA is good, and you have network connection issue. But this is another storY
I Have found the issue - I enabled a guest network on my EERO network, it seemed to take HA and my printer off line for some reason.
If anyone could give me advice on how to do a backup I would have massively appreciate it! Thanks!
A backup of what? HA? You don’t need it. You have to disable the guest network on EERO.
If instead you would like to take a backup in order to CHANGE the IP Address of HA, or to start from scratch, the you have to use the trick that i suggested previously, direct comunication HA ↔ YOUR PC.

I just thought it would be good to get a back up of all my add ons, automations etc so if I the green dies one day I can copy them over to a new one - is what you suggest how I do it - direct PC connection?
No need. Simply run a full backup then download the backup to whatever PC you’re using from the 3 dot menu
EDIT: Or just add something like the Google Drive integration and use that as an additional backup location for automatic backups.
That way you won’t need to download the backup manually, and you’ll always have a relatively recent backup available.
I’m sorry. I’ve misintepreted your request You asked a simple question, I gave you a compex response! @ShadowFist answer is the good one.
