Cant add emerson ac unit to HA

I am very new to home assistant and im having a issue connecting my mini split ac unit. It is a emerson quiet kool 18000 btu mini split that works on google, smart life app, and HE smart. The ac works perfect on the he smart app, but i would like it to all be on the home assistant app

Hello Shanon,

SmartLife means it’s Tuya.
There is a Tuya Integration in core, but it uses the cloud.
There are several other Tuya Integrations available from the HACS Loader, and all handle different hardware a little differently. I cannot tell you what is best in your case, but getting away from the cloud with Tuya stuff is highly recommended.

I had success with the following:

  1. Remove existing smartlife app.
  2. Install Tuya app on iOS.
  3. Scan Tuya integration QR code from HomeAssistant in Tuya App
  4. Reset Quietkool device to pairing mode
  5. Add to Tuya app
  6. Reload integration in home assistant
