Cant add new device

Hey everyone.

Completely new to HA, and the whole matter, thread part.
Been using Philips hue for 5-6 years.

I just bought the Home Assistant ZBT-2 antenna, and enabled the Matter and OpenThread border router in HA - but i cant add my IKEA MYGGSPRAY to HA.

The sensor starts lighting up, and i get a bluetooth notification on my phone. When scan the QR code, it says it wants to connect it to the Home Assistant app - and then after about a minute or so, it fails, stating that i need a Thread border router - which i have?

What obvious step, am i missing here?

My WiFi is limited to 2,4Ghz, as recommended by the setup process.

I followed this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qe_4dsCkPZg
But my process fails at 08:05

Couldnt add more than one picture in the initial post, so adding the rest here

You need to sync the credentisld with your HA setup. On your phone open HA | Companion App | Settings | Troubleshooting | Sync Thread Credentials.

Then check that your preferred Border router has a little lock symbol and try again to connect.

You beat me to it

Followed these guides, and that fixed it

Quick question - if i go to Thread and i can see the border router, and i press “Send credentials to home assistant” i just get an error, that i got no credentials to sync.

But if i go to the troubleshoot section and sync it, then it works.

Isnt that conflicting? Or am i missing something here?

I would rather call it confusing. Frankly, I didn’t bother to understand the logic but was glad it worked.

The one in the Thread section send the credentials from the Thread Bordet Router to HA.
The one in the troubleshooting sector sends it from HA to the phone.
When you know that it makes sense.

Why it is located in the troubleshooting section is still weird to me though.
