Cant add nodes anymore (ADD_NODE_STATUS_FAILED)

Hi All,

Months ago I add without any problem many Zwave nodes to HA.
Now when I want add one I see this error. Its not possible to add a node anymore.

Only change between then and now > changed from RPi3 to RPi4

AEON Labs ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5 EU is attached using a USB hub (RPI4 issue USB2/3 thing) This hub is not a powered one.

What can this be?

Oh have 3 modules I only use with Chrismas, so they are stored now. Have 3 failed nodes. But this cannot give this problem?

Did you ever figure out what the issue is? I’m seeing the exact same thing…

No not at all, i replaced the “AEON Labs ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5 EU” with a “Silicon Labs ACC-UZB3-E-STA”

Also moved to Zwave2MQTT Add-ON. Now all my problems are gone!!!
Even i can plug the Zwave stick directly into my RPI4 again without hub!!

Im a very happy Zwaver now :smiley:

I think mine ended up being a failing device (the device I was trying to add) after many attempts (and putting the controller directly beside the device) I was able to get it to add…and then it seemed to work mostly ok for maybe a couple weeks, then one day it was just dead…totally non-responsive. I replaced it and now all is well
