Can't boot HAOS, slot a try 1 rescue shell

Hello,

I’ve placed my NVME drive to an external enclosure and created HAOS disk via Balena due to my vision issue and disabled secure boot.
When I boot my NUC14, I’m getting slot=a, try=1…
When I go to boot menu and choose my nvme disk, it says booting rescue shell.
How can I fix that issue to start HAOS?
Also, Gemini said that create a USB and boot from there, it will detect your NVME internal drive and copy/install HAOS automatically. It seems unbelievable for me

Thank you for your help.

Ok, I tried to write image via Ubuntu live to internal nvme, but it stil says “slot=a, try=1”
Do you have any solution please?
VMD is disabled, secure boot is disabled, I see uefi belong to my nvme drive.
Thank you.

Hey you were in another thread before I remember, which steps did you follow to install the image? The NVME via USB or the USB stick method? Can you link to the steps?

Hi,

I placed NVME drive to an external encloasure and put it back to the NUC.
It works well.

Ok very happy to hear that.
Know that in the long run, the USB enclosure might be a point of failure. Ensure you make backups.
