Hello, I'm quite new to the smart home community so I'm looking for help with configuring Home Assistant.
I'm trying to connect the IKEA MYGGSPRAY motion sensor to my Home Assistant Green. I've configured (I think) a ZBT-2 as a thread border router.
The problem comes when trying to connect the motion sensor.
When adding a new matter device I choose to connect using code instead of scanning QR-code and the MYGGSPRAY shows up. However after trying to connect for a few minutes an error shows up "... could not connect to this accessory."
I've tried to do some troubleshooting and made sure that IPv6 is set to automatic and my compaion app credentials are updated, but now I'm stumped.
Additionally to setting IPv6 to automatic, you also have to enable IPv6 in HA/Terminal manually by typing: ha docker options --enable-ipv6=true
After that restart is required. Then try again. Hope it helps.
P.S.: are you trying to add it to HA or Apple Homekit? Do you have any Apple Border Routers like Homepod Mini, Apple TV 4K or similar in your Home Network?
but I still got the same message after a few minutes of trying to connect. "Home couldn't connect to this accessory".
I'm trying to add it to my HA, I have a HA Green with a ZBT-2 connected. Sadly I don't have any Apple routers, (I'm starting to think I should've bought that instead of the ZBT-2 to add matter over thread products).
So you did a restart of HA after typing it into Terminal, right?
Next thing i would do is to make sure that the WiFi Router has IPv6 fully enabled and reboot the WiFi Router. I hope there are no switches/APs or similar between your router and the HA Green as they can potentially block myDNS or IPv6 as well if it runs bad.
In HA/Apps/Matter Server/Configuration enable " use the latest beta version" . Reboot HA.
Now reboot your Iphone as well after you synchronised Thread Credentials in the companion app just in case. It should say something like " HA and your phone are in the same network". If something else comes up, it won't work.
