Can't connect nanoleaf bulb via matter/thread

Hi I’m absolutely pulling my hair out with this issue.

I recently changed over my wifi router from a Google home to an eero due to performance issues. The new router created a new thread network which was an absolute pain to migrate my devices over to.

Eventually after a lot of pain I managed to migrate my thread network over in all my apps, and was able to get the bulbs working on the nanoleaf app and on Google home but home assistant refuses to connect to them.

I tried sharing the device from Google home, from nanoleaf app, pairing directly, factory reset, no option seems to fix it. The weirdest part is that one of the bulbs was working from home assistant without any pairing required, once I initially switched it over to the new thread network, so it clearly is able to connect to at least one bulb over this thread network!

I checked the matter server logs while it was attempting to pair and it’s full of the message

“PASESession timed out while waiting for a response from the peer. Expected message type was 33”

Can anyone please help me get this working again?

Thanks!

What I would do is reset the bulbs and only add them to home assistant. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear. I have several nanoleaf bulbs and occasionally they will become unresponsive. The answer is always, reset, I mean factory reset, add readd to home assistant.

Thanks for your response!
I have factory reset the bulbs multiple times before making this post, unfortunately it didn’t resolve the issue.
But I just tried again today and it worked out of nowhere. No idea what the cause was or what was different this time but it’s fine now

They can be flakey. But when they work, all is well.
