Can't control lock anymore. I keep getting a long error message that I don't understand

So I discovered this morning that I was unable to control my Aqara U300 lock. I didn’t make any changes or update anything. When controlling it in the Aqara app, the state of the lock still changes in HA. Since I have no idea what to do, I just removed it from HA and the Aqara app(also over Matter) and added it back to only HA over Matter. But nothing changed and I’m still getting the same message.

I have no idea what that means. I googled it but that didn’t help at all. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this problem?

Apologies if this isn’t the right spot. I wasn’t sure exactly where asking for help like this best fits.

EDIT: I just added it to Google Home and was able to lock and unlock. I think this is a HA only problem. I hope someone out there has the answer. But if not then I may just have to settle for creating helpers and using the Matter Hub add on to have the Aqara app lock and unlock.

The “got object” message usually indicate a discrepancy between what HA expect of value type and what it actually received.

Typical causes can be that the device is unavailable, renamed, updated, so it represent itself differently or otherwise changed.

Check the device in the settings - device - integration menu in HA.

I’m definitely not a technical user. So I have looked at it and I don’t think any thing changed. But I’m definitely not the kind of person that could identify the problem with this even if it were right in front of me. I’d definitely need someone to specify what I need to look for.

But the device is definitely still available because it knows the state of the lock. It hasn’t been updated and I haven’t changed the entity name in a long time. I’m surprised that removing it and adding it back in did not help at all. I thought that would basically reset things but it didn’t.

If you have any other suggestions then I would really appreciate it.

At the page I referred to can you there control it by clicking the controls?

If you mean from the device page in the Matter integration from Devices and Services section, then no I can’t control it from there. I’m getting the same message I do when opening up the lock control entity.

Might as well upload a pic just in case.

Although I know most have an aversion to using A.I. for answers, I typed your issue into Google and got a bunch of suggestions to try. I think you should try it.

Reboot whatever device it is that is being used as your Thread Border Router is one of them.

That’s actually not a bad idea, thanks. I’ll try whatever I can. Although unfortunately I had no luck with resetting my TBR which is an Aqara M100.

OMG, you and AI saved the day for me lol. One of the suggestions was to update the Matter server. That made me realize that I enabled the beta version again. Disabling it gave me the ability to control the U300 again from the lock entity.

It’s strange though because I did enable it before and had no issues. But I disabled it because I was having problems with thread devices. Once I solved that I enabled it again last night. Well for now I’m going to leave it off. Thanks again.

No worries, good to hear!
