Can't figure out how to create an association in zwavejs

I’d like to create to create a group association between a remote dimmer switch and a bulb. How is this done in HA?
I’m quite new to it all, thanks.

It can’t be done in HA yet. You will have to use zwavejs2mqtt to do this.

Thanks, I installed zwavejs2mqtt, got it configured and I followed this documentation on setting up associations:

HA zwavejsmqtt setup

But I still can’t get the remote to control the bulb. I can control the bulb Lovelace.
What could I be missing?

My zwave devices were all showing up as ‘unknown’, so I was not able to set configurations or associations. Re-installing zwavejsmqtt allowed all my devices to show up correctly in the control panel and I was able to set assocations.
