Can't get some zwave devices to work

I’m trying to move all my zwave stuff off of Wink into HA. My set-up is HASSIO verson 89.1 in Docker on a laptop running in Debian 9. I also removed zwave from my configeration.ymal file and was able to get the first wave of zwave devices set-up, Aeotec USB zwave stick Gen5, Leviton 1000w dimmer, Leviton plug-in outlet and Aeotec smart switch 6. I used the HA’s Z-wave network management interface “ADD NODE” to setup the above items. So far so good, next I tried to add my GoControl
motion sensor and door switch and that did not go well. HA doesn’t see them, I’ve tried over and over its doesn’t work adding the GoControl stuff under Z-wave network management interface. All of the above zwave devices where running on a PI 3 using HASSIO installed by unplugging the Aeotec stick from the PI and adding them to the network. That process didn’t work with my new setup, I tried but when the GoControl door switch or motion sensor where active they would turn the Leviton switchs off and on. I found this https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/adding/ and that’s how I was able to get the above zwave devices to work. Any thoughts on how to get GoControl devices to work? I have 4 more door switchs and 1 more motion sensor to move over from Wink

Try Add Secure Node you’ll need to insert a network key into the configuration in the Intergrations menu under Configuration

I’ll give it a try tomorrow, thanks

not working …………Why is zwave such a problem inHASSIO?
I like when we could just unplug the stick and add devices and then plug it back in

You can still do that… I did that for all but one of my z-wave devices before realising that you didn’t need to. (running HassIO on RPi)

You have to for devices that require a secure inclusion into the network.
