Can't get the Voice PE running as serial device over USB for firmware flashing

Hi, I try to reset my VoicePE to default firmware after I used it with “take control” in the past.

But the web flasher doesn’t show a matching serial port when I connect the device (normal, or with bootloader mode).

I can see that the device is recognized in “system information” on my Mac and and also in the device manager on my windows machine when I connect it there.

The drivers that are mentioned in the web installer help, are also installed on both machines.
But the device / serial port is not detected in the web flasher (tried Chrome on both machines and Edge on Windows).

I also tried different USB-cables (and didn’t use an USB-Hub) on both machines.

Any idea what I miss here?

Opened the case to see it there are UART Pins to flash it in another way and found a switch labeled “USB-Select”, which was in the wrong position.

Worked fine now.
