Hi. I’m having an issue with my Nabu Casa account. I just subscribed to the free trial yesterday and linked it to Home Assistant, and today tried linking to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, but received a user does not exist error. Logging into the Nabu Casa website itself works fine. One thing to note is that I created the account inside of the Home Assistant cloud section of the Home Assistant web interface.
What can I do to fix this issue? I really want to use an official integration method rather than the Matter hub add-on that I was using previously, especially because that add-on is no longer being maintained. Thank you for any guidance you may be able to provide.
The Nabu Casa accounts are unfortunately case sensitive. However you entered your email address when you created the account is the same way you need to enter it when authenticating the connection to HA for Google/Alexa.
Typically, it’s all lowercase and a mobile device can be changing the first character to uppercase because of auto-correct over time.
But if that doesn’t work it could be anything, and only checking in with Nabu Casa support would be the way to check for sure because we can see it there.
