Can't load the "official" hassio addons from github, but addons.community work fine?

Hi all - first time post - i cannot find the answer to this. Running with the Home Assistant Operating System (in a VM). Have loaded several addons from the community side (grafana, influx, terminal, visual studio code, etc).

I’m trying to load addons from the official addon site https://github.com/home-assistant/hassio-addons

( I want to work with DuckDNS & lets encrypt to try to get smartthings going )

However, none of the json seem to be working (example):
20-04-09 23:38:18 ERROR (MainThread) [supervisor.utils.json] Can’t read json from /data/addons/core/duckdns/config.json: Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0)
20-04-09 23:38:18 WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.store.data] Can’t read /data/addons/core/duckdns/config.json from repository core

Any ideas?

To come back to this post, i found from Frenck that this was really odd. I think some thing must have been messed up in my install? I ended up doing a reinstall and cleared this up.
