Can't pair/connect Swtichbot Roller Shade via BLE

Hi everyone,

I’ve bought a SwitchBot Roller Shade and can see that I should be able to connect to it via the Bluetooth antenna on my RPi4. I can see the device when my RPi scans, but when I try to add it via the SwitchBot Bluetooth integration, I just get the following message:

No supported SwitchBot devices found in range; If the device is in range, ensure the scanner has active scanning enabled, as SwitchBot devices cannot be discovered with passive scans. Active scans can be disabled once the device is configured. If you need clarification on whether the device is in-range, download the diagnostics for the integration that provides your Bluetooth adapter or proxy and check if the MAC address of the SwitchBot device is present.

There are only 2 meters between the roller shade and my RPi, so distance can hardly be the issue.

Do you have any ideas on how I can fix this?

NB: I’d prefer not to buy a hub/gateway from SwitchBot just to use it via Matter.

I got the same problem. Is there a firmware update necessary?

Having the same issue. Trying all sorts of things to fix it and desperate enough to write here.
