So I bought some Ikea bulbs and a ZBT-2, and have spent the last couple of hours trying to get them to pair…
They seem to be discovered ok, but don’t pair.
If I power cycle them 6 times, they flash and go into pairing mode. In the HA app, if I skip the “scan QR code” step, I see them as available to add. Doing this and entering the code, or scanning the QR code takes me to the “Connecting…” stage. After a few seconds it changes to “Setting up…” and then seems to time out.
Has anyone got this working?
i’ve tried connecting via the HA app (iOS) and via the Matter integration on my laptop (web ui). Nothing seems to work.
Presuming you have the ZBT-2 set up as a Thread border router, is the mobile device you are using the app to pair them on a 2.4ghz network and is IPv6 enable on that network? Both of these prevent pairing is not set correctly. I’ve given up on Matter/Thread and am sticking with Zigbee. Press the pair button and a few seconds later, job done.
