I’ve recently purchased tado X wireless boiler smart thermostat + radiators thermostats. However the HA integration doesn’t seem to provide entities for the rooms that I setup.
I know tado X can integrate devices through Matter but I don’t want to integrate each devices. I want to be able to control the rooms defined in tado in HA.
Am I missing something or is the Tado integration not supporting Tado X yet ?
What do you mean by control the ‘room’ ? in Home assistant, a room would be considered an area, into which you put a number of devices. But say you want to change the temperature in that ‘room’, you still need to interact with the thermostat thats in that area (room).
I’m not using Tado X, but the original Tado, it automatically assigns Tado ‘zones’ to areas in home assistant:-
I’d don’t see anything, no individual devices no areas. I think for individual devices you’re supposed to connect via matter but I want to see areas no devices.
I’ve since read other threads and it looks like tado x doesn’t work with the existing v3 integration. The only way you are currently going to be able to control tado devices via home assistant is through matter. (possibly also homekit, but not sure)
I found this patch to show the valves through the tado integration. Add the integration url via hacs and search for tado afterwards. Restart HA and go to devices and services. Add Tado and login with your account. Devices should be there:
