Can't start Z-Waze JS

Installed HA in WMware following these steps: Windows - Home Assistant

Then added Z-Wave JS through Settings > Add-ons, but it failed to start, error message is: Missing required option ‘device’ in Z-Wave JS (core_zwave_js).

After HA is restarted, it reports Add-on failed to start at boot in Settings, clicking it brings up another message: Add-on Z-Wave JS is set to start at boot but failed to start. Usually this occurs when the configuration is incorrect or the same port is used in multiple add-ons. Check the configuration as well as logs for Z-Wave JS and Supervisor. Use Start to try again or Disable to turn off the start at boot option.

Clicking Start to re-try it then says Success! The issue is repaired!, but it’s actually not because Z-Wave JS is still not started, attempting to start it still the same error as before: Missing required option ‘device’ in Z-Wave JS (core_zwave_js).

Any idea how to fix it? It’s the stock vmdk file downloaded from HA website.

Hello zwave,

Make sure the zwave coordinator is connected and ‘passed thru’ so the VM can see it.

If it is a USB device use the by-id/serial designation and not the tty-x port designation when you configuration.

Open your Home Assistant instance and show hardware information.
