Hi all, writing here ‘just for chat’, since I searched and it seems other people are getting same issue as me with no solution.
My setup:
Tado X (Bridge X + 4xValve for radiator)
Aqara P2 windows/door sensors (3x)
Ikea 4x Timmerflotte and Mygbett (can’t add them because of the following issue)
Problem:
Can’t connect any more NEW Matter over Thread devices to Home assistant (but same is also for Alexa).
When trying to add devices HomeAssistant says no border router available, but it can see the Tado Thread network. When I try the same with Alexa it asks for Thread network key I do not have.
In HomeAssistant app I can see the Tado Thread network listed in ‘Other Network’, but can’t do anything. ‘Send credentials’ does not work, and I think it correct because I have/see no Thread credentials on the Android smartphone.
In my Android smartphone, under PlayServices I can see the Tread network from Tado Bridge X but I can’t use lt select or do anything.
What makes me mad is that some months ago I was able to setup the Aqara sensors with the Thread network, and now does not work anymore. My fear is that I did with a different smartphone were maybe Android stored the Thread credentials. Istill have that smartphone but sadly I factory reset it.
Another thing that made me mad is that ALL the Thread devices that I was able to setup at time, they still work even if I factory reset the Bridge X, BUT if I factory reset one of the device/sensors they can’t connect anymore. I suppose in this case credentials are also on the single sensor who can autoconnect.
BUT THE TOP OF MADNESS IS that thise sensors works in Tado app and Alexa and if I use ‘Matter code sharing’ I can add them to HomeAssistant, and they works! HomeAssistant can also detect they are connected to Thread network, and it can also say it’s the network from Bridge X border router.
THAT’S COMPLETELY UNBELIVABLE! I mean, dors not make any sense.
Question:
Is there any way to set or reset the Thread network credentials?
