I have an issue with one of my cat6 outlets in my home. When I built our house I prewired with cat6 cable. This particular outlet I’ve never used, and it appears it could have an issue.
I dont want to buy a gold plated cable tester as I am unlikely to use it very often, so looking for advice on an average cable tester that might be able to tell me if issues exist somewhere in the length of the cable.

It’s pretty basic. Wire-map (shorted, open, swapped pairs), rough cable length and PoE identification.
The cable tracer works really well.
No NEXT, FEXT or attenuation tests.
You have to make sure you are plugged into the correct port on the device depending on which test you are performing.
