Change Ring doorbell arm/disarm settings via a trigger

I have a Ring camera indoors. I want to set the mode to disarm/arm depending on state of my home alarm system. The problem I have is that HA only shows me the option to make the camera siren sound, or not. There are no settings for arming the overall system. I’m assuming this is because I need to integrate my Ring account, but I can’t find any information on this.

I’m sure I’m not the first person to ask this, but I can’t find any information.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Install this fantastic app!

What home alarm are you using?

Yale. It has enough entities for me to be able to use it to trigger automations through the arm/disarm function. I will try that app and report back.

Perfect, I use the RING MQTT for our family cabin also. It has saved so many headaches. It’s unreal. If you need a hand let me know.

Hi. So after many hours of messing around, I simply can’t work this out. I am fairly new to HA. Basically, I want to set the Ring app to “Away” whenever I trigger an event. I can’t work out how I set the system to “Away” without manually selecting this function within the Ring app? Is it possible?

Is anyone else able to help me with this please?

Just saw that. Did you install the hack app above?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This app has provided much needed flexibility. I don’t keep a regular schedule, and I am now able to set the Ring modes based on triggers I set through HA when I go to bed, wake up, leave and arrive home, doors unlocked, and/or anybody else in the house.
