Cheapest wearos watch with heart rate monitor?

What is the cheapest wearos smart watch which has a heart rate monitor that can be integrated into the home assistant just by installing the companion app into it? I’m seeing like 200+ dollar watches. I’m looking for a cheap solution that works consistently.
Will not purchase a subscription for it to work

The industry hates you :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

What does that even mean? I buy a product. It should work locally and directly with my device. I thought a Bluetooth device would be easy because it’s literally interfacing directly with my phone but apparently it’s required I use the fit cloud pro with this cheap one I got. Idk man the fact that they can’t extort me to use my own device is not something that should be a problem. If it is the device is just trash.

Does it have to be new? I got an old Ticwatch 3 on ebay for £30. Worked fine with HA until I flashed my phone with e/OS - now it’s just a watch…

What about using the device at the end of your wrist?
It might help if you stated your use case.

If it is a Ticwatch Pro 3 you might upgrade it again for more feature-richness

Real ownership isn’t something that falls from the sky - specially nowadays. Due diligence is necessary to not fail for marketing claims that might show off “local control” while at the same time not include full ownership. :person_shrugging:

Absolutely. I closed my Amazon account a while ago, and suddenly I no longer “owned” all the movies I’d bought from Prime. Both of them. Just gone.

The tick watch3? And wait what should I not upgrade to ensure it’s compatibility? And does it report heart rate directly and frequently? Long story short my unkle had a heart issue. Now he doesn’t. because he’s dead. I would prefer to be more not dead than he is.

If any of these devices can reduce the risk of death due to a cardiac cause then they would surely have that in their features list. Choose from the ones that do.

And it would need certification as a medical product in probably most countries. That will inflate prices and contradicts OP’s first requirement

Now a new requirement appeared suddenly… :raised_hands:

Me thinking XY again! :person_facepalming:

But more seriously: Did you think about visiting a specialist (doctor) to have a check up? :lab_coat:

Just a heart rate monitor is probably not that helpful in predicting sudden cardiac death. Beat to beat variability seems to be a relatively new thing in predicting risk of SCD but it’s not likely that anything other than a specialist monitor is likely to be able to pick that up.

I’m worried about my heart and not beating. If I can figure out what my heart rate normally is I can just figure out what is below that heart rate I’m an alert go off at that point in time to immediately send a text message to my local authorities as they have a number for that purpose. Especially if it also reports blood pressure. I am doing what I can with the resources available. I do not have the money for some expensive s*** so I am attempting to make do with what is available. I would appreciate help but if you’re not going to help that’s fine too It’s a free country where I am. I found a set of two tick 3 watches for 100$ which should be fine for this purpose If they report data consistently. The police station in hospital are extremely close to my apartment so it should work fairly effectively especially if I also have it send a message to another person of whom can possibly provide support such as my neighbor next door. I have come up with a plan and I’m currently looking for something to report my heart rate. If you want to help that’s fine If you’re not going to help I don’t see what it is you’re doing on here. And making random jokes at the expense of my deceased uncle does not seem very helpful.

I already did. He recommended to getting a watch that could monitor it and giving access to someone else and going to a doctor regularly which I am already doing. He said an Apple watch but f*** that. I don’t understand why you’re being so difficult really. I came here with a specific thing that I was trying to do. Get a heart rate put into home Assistant that is accurate to my heart. That’s it man.

No words :zipper_mouth_face:

If you think about using medical emergency response, they will show up maybe two three times… But if your are triggering false-positive they shurely will not be happy on the long run occupying life saving resources :ambulance:

Do countries need to be be the opposite of free to have affordable health care available?

Maybe not the greatest choice for your use case?

I don’t know if you were replying to me but I didn’t mention your relatives. If you are sure you are going to buy a watch you should then check that it’s measuring your heart rate (electrical) and not your pulse rate (plesmography). Monitors that typically measure SPO2 are confused by irregular heart rate conditions like atrial fibrillation and ectopic(extra) heart beats. Even expensive SPO2 monitors can’t tell the difference. If money is an object then don’t throw it away on the wrong device. You could also be getting an increased rate of false positives and be unnecessarly be causing anxiety to yourself.

Locking. Home Assistant should not be used for medical emergency monitoring.
