I am looking for any recommendations for some switches to replace my UK “no-neutral” lighting switches (the room has 3 off 2 gang switches in a 3-way configuration)
I have been looking for chrome 2 gang 3 way no-neutral switches but I can only find 2 gang 2 ways in chrome - so if anybody has found anything I would be grateful.
My other option (probably the most likely) would be to hard wire all the wires in the wall boxes and put a zigbee battery switch over ther top of the wall box (again in chrome) and the then use it that way.
Does anyone have any recommendations on either option
Yes that would work for one of the circuits (didnt realise they now had a magic switch mode) but the other circuit has a Shelly Dimmer 2 on it which doesnt work when the live feed is off. Any thoughts on that or whether there is another alternative to the Shelly Dimmer?
Hi yes the Shelly dimmer is on the other circuit. I have had to install on existing standard uk 3way switched circuit as we were having some renovation work done.
Installing like this means that when any light switch is switched off on that also turns off the live to the Shelly.
If you install custom firmware on the basic r4 like tasmota or esphome, you can detach the relay.
Instead of cutting the power, it just sends on/off trigger to HA and you can use that as automation to toggle the dimmer.
There’s also candio dimmers but I’m not sure if they work with 3 way
