I am new to Zigbee and HA world. First of all I describe the expectation and the reality:
Expectation: Appartment has CCT lights that work in Ciracian Rhythms (CR). All the light groups have 2-gang push button switches. Switches are so called green switches with couplers. Lights will be turned on/off by short press of left/right. Long press left/right will dim the light brightness up/down. At the moment light colour must always be according to the CR. When brightness is dimmed up/down from the switch and then turned on again, the light brightness and colour must be according to the CR. For example lights are turned on and according to the CR at 10.00 brightness is 50% and colour 4000K. User sets brightness to 100% from the switch. After 8 hours without any switching the colour changes according to the CR, but brightness remains the same. At 18.00 the CR settings will be for example 30%, 2500K. Around 18.00 user turns the lights off and then back on. The lights should be then 30%, 2500K. Ideally it should also work the same when a scene is brought up from a switch/HA etc or when colour is changed.
Reality: Appartment has Zigbee 3.0 lights that are CCT capable. Problem is that I didn´t know Zigbee 3.0 has different software issues so that for example Tuya, Azoula, Ubisys doesn´t allow all the functions to be used through different platforms.
Some lights in appartment are with Philips Xitanium Xi 45W 0.3-1.2A 48V MC FlexTune 230V drivers (Xi 45W 0.3-1.2A 48V MC FlexTune 230V | 929002827080 | Philips lighting). It is possible to integrate them with Azoula and Tuya, but in Tuya they go “dumb” and basically all the functions are disabled. In Azoula it is possible to set CR, but all the other parameters are disabled and I don´t want to buy Ubisys, because it is relatively expensive and will only solve half of the problems. For testing I have replaced one Philips drivers with Sunricher driver SRP-ZG9105N-45CCT500-1400 (2 Channels 45W NFC Constant Current ZigBee Tunable White LED Dimmable Driver SRP-ZG9105N-45CCT500-1400) and use Sunricher push button couplers SR-ZG2833PAC. They work. I have also other track lights that are with Tuya protocol. If I add them to Azoula, they go “dumb” and basically all the functions are disabled. Also it is not possible to integrate Sunricher couplers to Tuya. So the plan is to add Philips/Sunricher drivers to with Sunricher couplers to Azoula app and Tuya lights to Tuya app. Afther that integrate both to home assistant. That has been successful and it is also possible to turn the lights on/off, dim brightness and coulour through HA. Problems:
- I have set Tuya and Azoula lights to CR from the apps. Now when I make automation from the Sunricher coupler green switch (this is in Azoula app) that short press is on/off and long presses dim brightness up/down, then when I dim light up and switch it off again, it doesn´t take the CR set brightness set point nor the colour when time has passed when turning the light back on
- Also every time I make a scene or adjust the light colour/brightness manually from apps or HA, the CR function seems to be override
- Most of the functions for Philips driver are disabled from Azoula (like power up state, transition times, dimming cures etc). I belive when integrated to HA, these will still be unavailable. When trying to change them from Azoula app it says “Save failed, please make sure your device is online” - I have consultated with Ubisys and Philips and this is a software issued through different platworms. Since I only changed one driver to Sunrichers it will be reasonable cost to change them all. Is my assumption right that even whe the CR is made through HA, these parameters can not be changed since Azoula can´t communicate the information to the Philips dirvers?
I have read that CR can be done through HA. I also read different setups, but I can not find anything similar to the “Expectation” above. I would be greatful for any information what to do or where to look. Thanks!
