CircuitSetup Energy Meter show < 1kWh total energy

I installed a CircuitSetup Energy Meter using the 9v PS and added 4 circuits. Two are around my mains feed. However, the energy display barely shows any kWh being used displaying the Total kWh device. Do I need to give the board some 120V access?

I suppose that the clamp are around the phase L.
What clamp are you using?
Burden resistor is correct?

WIth a 240VAC main, I have sensors on both L1 and L2 each a SCT-016 120A. I modified the YAML for the correct calibration value for these sensors.

The ESPHome YAML provided by CircuitSetup should already have voltage sensors provided, and they are used in the power calculations. What do your sensors say the voltage is? Example:

When you loaded ESPHome, did you use this? CircuitSetup ESPHome Installer

If not, what does your config look like? Something doesn't seem right with "Main Line Voltage". The meter calculates wattage, volts x amps x pf, and voltage is very low, which is why kWh is so low.

I am using esp32-vroom-32s and installed the software with the web-installer. I altered the yaml using esphome device builder to change the values for the two main line circuits and the friendly name. The only other thing I see is that the red led on the esp32 is not on. I did come on when I did the initial software load using the web installer and the usb connector.

What are you using for the voltage transformer? Are you powering everything via USB?

Thank you for your question. I just noticed that the adapter I have connected is not AC. It is a 120 to 9 volt AC to DC adapter. I believe I bought the adapter at the same time I bought the board from Circuitsetup. This must be the reason for the anomalies I am seeing. A correct adapter should arrive on Wednesday. I will let you know the status after I install it.
