I am looking for something to monitor my “mains” power. Like a lot of American homes, it’s a split-phase system.
I stumbled onto CircuitSetup’s 6-channel board: Expandable 6 Channel ESP32 Energy Meter Main Board – CircuitSetup, which feels like a great option given its ability to integrate directly into HA via ESPHome, so I don’t have to rely on some third party integration or cloud service. It’s also offers 6-channels at a price competitive with what Shelly offers for one.
Has anyone used these before to monitor the “mains” supply power?
Not clear from the link what all you have to buy. Looks like just the bare board without case, current transformers or power supply. If all are included for 6 channels it’s not a bad deal.
The zemismart spm02 zigbee will monitor 3 phases for about $56. Works reliably with Z2M without any additional app. The only thing I didn’t like was having to disconnect and reconnect the monitored wires to go through the holes. But it’s just a matter of cutting the power and using a screwdriver so not a huge deal.
