Claude Code on HA Yellow

I used Claude Code to whip up a fairly complex (as in, way beyond my capabilities) automation which now spans across several YAML files.

The code is designed to monitor my heat pump, MVHR, windows open/close status and weather forecasts with the intention of keeping the house cool through a series of helpful notifications that take appropriate actions.

Use case aside, copying all the yaml into the Claude desktop app is a bit of a drag, and I was wondering if it is possible to install Claude Code directly on my HA Yellow box and have it fix these files that way?

Does anyone have any experience of this? I already have the MCP which is helpful in determining entity states, but allowing file editing would be even more useful.

## About

This add-on provides a web-based terminal with Claude Code CLI pre-installed, allowing you to access Claude's powerful AI capabilities directly from your Home Assistant dashboard. The terminal provides full access to Claude's code generation, explanation, and problem-solving capabilities.

## Installation

1. Add this repository to your Home Assistant add-on store
2. Install the Claude Terminal add-on
3. Start the add-on
4. Click "OPEN WEB UI" to access the terminal
5. On first use, follow the OAuth prompts to log in to your Anthropic account

## Configuration

No configuration is needed! The add-on uses OAuth authentication, so you'll be prompted to log in to your Anthropic account the first time you use it.

Has anyone installed this and got it working? It looks a little more involved that just adding the Repository in to the Addons section?

@angusc Yes it was fairly straight forward. Add the repo, install it, go to the addon config and add it to the side bar. Start it.
