Clean, fresh install on Raspberry Pi 5, not working

I purchased a Raspberry Pi 5 16 GB RAM, 128 GB microSD. Fresh, clean, standalone (not HA) install using the Raspberry Pi imager. Nothing special, just image it, plug it into the device, turn it on, go through setup and when I get it set up, but the following pages aren’t working:

Devices & Services - Helpers
Automation & Scenes
Add-ons
Can’t mount network storage

I’ve rebooted, reinstalled - nothing seems to remediate these items, though one time it was actually worse, with more features not working. Can someone tell me what strange thing I’m doing wrong? The first thing I try to do is put on some Add-ons, but can’t even get to the menu.

Have you done this?

Above could be the issue.

Otherwise double check good quality (sufficient) power supply and verify SD card. I mean really check it, with like f3 or something. These should always be first steps when troubleshooting ANY SBC.

Probably should check the logs too: How to Troubleshoot Raspberry Pi Crashing.

Looks like the latest update fixed it. It just updated to a new version in the last couple of days and now all the components that weren’t working are working.

Thanks for the assistance (I did check everything listed here and none of it helped, so it looks like it was some core component that they fixed).
