New user, new install, it’s all new to me. Little in over my head but I’m a quick learner.
HA Green with Cloud subscription. Remote Access setting is enabled. “Most Secure” setting selected which was recommended. I’m getting the following message when I leave my home:
Due to your connection security choice (‘Most secure’), there’s no URL that we are allowed to use.
Missing requirements
? Connect to your home network
I am unclear how to correct this and can’t seem to find an answer. Anyone know? Thanks!
Thank you for the replies.
I have remote access turned on at my home location.
Can I expect to access it remotely through the iOS app? The app shows the image I screenshotted and attached. I haven’t seen that url you posted until now.
For the other reply, I’m just quoting the image attached, they offer two choices, most secure and less secure (not recommended).
I turned this on while I was at my home location.
What specifically is “nabu casa remote”? Is it the same iOS app I’m using when at home or something different?
Yes, I installed the iOS HA Companion app on my phone while I was home and connected to wifi.
I signed up for HA Cloud. I allowed remote access.
The screenshot above is directly telling me that I’m disconnected due to my security settings.
Unless I’m missing something, we have not identified why yet. The suggestions above should all be in place already.
Again, to be brutally clear here: should the HA Companion app on iOS work for remote access, or are you accessing it another way?
Sounds like we’ve come full circle to my original post now.
New install. Signed up for cloud subscription. Enabled remote access. “Most secure” security option selected.
Getting the message in the screenshot attached.
I don’t see a way to resolve this. Any ideas?
You can also copy the link from there and use it in the app’s external URL settings (turn the cloud switch off in the External URL section and specify it manually) as a last resort if you cant get the internal URL working.
Thank you for that detailed reply, I appreciate you taking the time — I will work through those steps to double check everything when I’m there next. I’ll report back with what I find.
Thank you again for the help, I just wanted to follow up and let you know that when I did visit my settings page I was surprised to see that my security level was not on the correct setting like you have in the screenshot above. When I changed that, I believe it clarifies when I am home versus away and now it is working correctly where I can access remotely through the app.
