My current chiller is on Tuya, and the process of integrating it with HAOS was complex and relied on maintaining a developer account with Tuya which then expired, and the controls were not labeled and I never figured out any other than the most important.
I cannot find a cold plunge chiller replacement that operates on zigbee or z-wave, and its unclear whether local control will be possible on the wifi ones without the same headache.
Is anyone familiar with any chiller units that can be completely locally controlled?
I wonder if I have the same chiller as you - I had to create a developer account with Tuya and try to figure out all the mappings (I even unlocked the heating ability).
Just in case it’s useful, this is what I mapped using the LocalTuya integration (GitHub - xZetsubou/hass-localtuya: 🔹 A Home Assistant integration to handle Tuya devices locally "fork from localtuya" · GitHub) edit to add - this integration gives you local control
