Guys… I’m lost. My Home Assistant on a Raspberry stopped working reliably a few months ago. Suddenly after rebooting, it takes hours until the system becomes reachable again.
The problem is I cannot find any errors in the logs.
First I thought the database might have become too big, so I deleted it. But the problem persisted.
Then I thought maybe the SD card is starting to die, so I installed HA on a new one and restored a backup. But the problem persisted.
Then I though maybe the Raspberry is starting to die, so I inserted the SD card into another Raspberry. But the problem persisted.
Then I found out that it boots fine when I unplug the ConBee II ZigBee stick. But as soon as I attach the ConBee II, I lose the connection to Home Assistant… this is reproducible almost always, sometimes it works for a few hours/days and then dies again.
The ConBee II works fine on a Windows PC. And it worked flawlessly for several years on the Raspberry.
What can I do to figure out what’s causing the problem? Why is there nothing in the logs (Home Assistant Core, Supervisor, Host)… where else could I look? I’m close to buying another ConBee II stick to try if that helps… any recommendations are appreciated… I want to get control over my ZigBee devices back
