I love HA and have been using Conbee to control all my Zigbee devices for years now. It’s been working great. But my latest idea has been involving Remote thinclient usage of Conbee.
I have an serverrack in my main place of living with unRAID which handles pretty much all my technical needs. I then have 2 Intel NUCs, one at each of my vacation homes. These NUCs handles the Conbee and HA instances of their respective house.
So I’ve been thinking about moving all my HA instances to my main unRAID server, problem then is that the zigbee radio still needs to be local to the home it controls. So my question is if it would be possible to have like a small raspberry PI just running the conbee/deconz which then communicates to my main server in another city that runs HA. I know there may be some latency but I would like to try it.
I already have Tailscale setup which basically allows me to connect the different networks so that they appear to be in the same local network.
Anyone have any pointers where to look for more info regarding this usecase?
