Configure Container Docker in Synology with apcupsd to learn data from USB connection of Synology

Hello to everyone,

I write, because i have a little problem and hope that someone can help me.

I’m running HASS in my Synology with a docker container. Also i have a UPS connected to the synology by usb port, and Synology recognice it.

Now i downloaded a container docker with apcupsd i changed the config file of apcupsd.conf and when i execute instruction apcaccess i have this result.

I think that maybe i need to configure the usb port in the cointainer docker.

Someone knows how to do it by the cointainer docker GUI and not by CLI?

Hi @robmarkcole , i was thinking, and maybe without using apcupsd we can monitor the UPS status in HA.

If you enable the snmp in your NAS, and then in HA, you use the snmp with the correct OID, then you can obtain data… I want try this today or tomorrow.

Tbh I am moving my main HA instance to Hassio on a pi as Synology python is incompatible with new releases of HA
