Configuring LG TV - can you help please?

HI guys,

I have an LG OLED55B9PLA smart TV. I have followed instructions here LG webOS Smart TV - Home Assistant

It starts with

To begin with enable LG Connect Apps feature in Network settings of the TV

I have been through all the settings of this TV and LG connect apps is not mentioned anywhere. There is a “Mobile TV” option which is ticked and I can access the TV from my phone using the LG app.

this is the code I used

  host: 192.168.0.135
  name: LG

It seems to work fine and I get the option to configure the TV in notifications.

However when I click “start pairing requests” nothing happens on the TV.

I have the IP address of the TV fixed and double checked it. Any other ideas?

this is what i have, and one of the TVs is very very old…

make sure you have these both
wake_on_lan
media_player

Also make sure you have assigned a Static IP to the TV. because if your router changes its IP… then you have to keep changing it… also they like to work better with LAN cable. my older one is with lan but the newer one its on wifi
