Hi all,
I’m trying to connect my Duracell inverter to Home Assistant via RS485 (Modbus) and I’m a bit stuck on where exactly to plug the adapter.
On the inverter I have three communication ports stacked vertically:
Top port: labelled CT METER
Middle port: labelled PARAL RS485
Bottom port: labelled BMS (this goes to the battery — I’m not touching this)
From what I understand, the middle “PARAL RS485” port should be the correct one for monitoring, even though it’s mainly intended for parallel inverter comms.
My confusion:
The RS485 port has 4 unlabelled pins, no A/B/GND markings
No screw terminals, just header pins
Manual doesn’t show the pinout
I don’t want to accidentally hit a +5V pin or damage the comms chip
Has anyone:
Used RS485/Modbus on a Duracell inverter
Identified which pins are A / B / GND
Thanks!
