Hey there, i am using HA and Shelly for quite a while now. There is a spot without wifi, but bluetooth coverage. Do you know if shelly or other smartplugs can be connected via BTProxy/BTHome?
Normally the Shelly Device with ac power would be the gateway, that would not work.

AFAIK (haven’t been there and don’t have the t-shirt) you can’t control a Shelly relay via bluetooth in HA. The Shelly can act as a bluetooth proxy but only supports advertisement listening / bundling. So, the Shelly could listen for bluetooth sensor data but NOT actively control a bluetooth device like a switch or a plug. Gen2+ devices do not support proxying active (GATT) connections with HA … for that you would need an ESPhome Bluetooth proxy.

Thats what i assumed, so i might use a shelly and reflash it with a custom BTHome Firmware for now.
