So i bought myself a Danfoss icon2 Main Controller (zigbee certified device). I want to connect it fresh out the box to my homeassistant setup via the Sonoff USB3.0 Zigbee Dongle E and Zigbee2MQTT. The same as I’ve connected every other zigbee device through. Usually it’s pretty easy, and i’ve had no issues setting everything else up, but i can’t seem connect the icon2 main controller for some reason.
There’s not exactly a lot of information on how to even get it into pairing mode, but i’ve tried a few things All where the starting point is OK showing solid green:
- Press the OK button → Quick blue then blinking red and then back to solid green
- Press and hold the OK for 5 seconds → Blinking fast blue - on release it blinks red and goes back to solid green.
- Press and hold the OK for 10 seconds → Blinking slow blue - on release it directly goes back to solid green.
- Press the ARROW button → OK still solid green but ARROW blinking blue for al little while and then back to nothing while OK is still solid green. (This is the bluetooth setup with the app)
At all times I have the z2m allowing new joins, but it is never found. Even if keeping hold like on attempt 3. Nothing.
I am running on channel 11 and is approx. 1 meter away from HA dongle.
I even added a better antenna to the icon2 on the Gateway antenna plug.
I’ve read here that some are using an install code (i’ve added that also) and some are just plain saying they just press the OK button for pairing - but as mentioned, when i press the OK button, it just blinks red for a little while before going back to solid green.
I know a lot of people got this working, so what do i need to do for this to work? Anyone have some ideas and/or experience?
