Connecting Shelly Mini 1 G3 to HomeAssistant

Hello,

I need some support with connecting a Shelly 1 Mini G3 to my Home Assistant setup.

I have already multiple other Shelly Systems connected, e.g. Plug S. For the Plug S I didnt change any specific on the Webinterface, even not activating any MQTT or RPC or Webhook. They automatically appeared on HomeAssistant.

The new Mini G3 is not showing up on HomeAssistant.

Is there a different approach needed or do I have an issue with my Shelly Setup in HomeAssistant?

Best Regards,
Johannes

I assume that I am using an old integration, which is not supported anymore.

The question is how I can migrate now from the old external integration to the official supported one?

There is no way to automatically migrate. You need to:

  • unconfigure all Shelly devices
  • remove (uninstall) custom ShellyForHass integration
  • restart HA
  • configure devices with Shelly core integration

After doing some more research I have found a solution jere in the forum: I renamed the custom integration and all its configuration part and I can use now the old one (with the existing Shelly Systems) and the new one with the new Shelly 1 in parallel.

This allows me also to do a migration from the old to the new system without interrupting anything.
