Control Android Tablet with HA?

I bought 2 cheap Android Lenovo Tablets (btw, currently on discount for 49€ on amazon de, for those from Germany) to mount on my walls.

Is it possible to control them in HA? Well, basically, I just want them to do 2 things:

  • Play a Spotify playlist or a predefined mp3 file if motion was detected
  • Play a youtube video from a predefined channel if motion was detected

Is something like that doable (with reasonable effort)?

I’m not sure about a Spotify playlist, but you can put Kodi, or Plex client on them and they can advertise themselves as players on the network

sweet, that’ll do! Could I run a plex server and HA on the same Pi or would it cause performance issues?

I would never even consider running Plex server on a pi, but I know that some people do. I think Kodi might be a better fit here.

Hi, can i start then tablet acreen uo when i teigger something from ha.

So my idea is, when i enter a room, my tablet wil start.
Now click the windows button on the tablet, i want to automate that.
