Control of a tuya (CW Mesh-SMB) devices through HA…?

Hello

I’m a new user of HA…

My reason for trying to configure HA: I’ve acquired 4 Stecutts Artificial Sklights.

This are installed in my newly renovated kitchen/dining room.

They look fantastic and work reasonably well through the Tuya Smart App.

However I think HA could do a better job IF they can be talked to by HA.

I’ve installed the Tuya integration and the four devices show up but there’s no ‘entities’ associated with them…

Does anyone know if there’s another way to send commands to these things?

My instinct tells me HA has ridiculous configurability and if Alexa can set brightness, and color temp. It should be child’s play to HA.

Can anyone point in the right direction?

Try other Tuya integrations. There are several in GitHub written by the community. You can find them easily be searching in the HACS loader Custom Integration, it will help you find them. Which one is better depends on the device, so no one knows. Tu8ya is what we call ‘weird iron’ in that nothing is standard, and it all needs quirks.

I installed the Xtend Tuya integration from github!

That did the trick!

I can see (and control) led switch, brightness, and color temp. And others!
