Hi there, first off thanks so much for building this community. Long-time lurker, first time poster here
I’m renovating my house in the UK to add AC, a heat pump and an MVHR (and make it airtight etc)
The builder specced the following kit
My builder is planning to fit a Daikin heatpump and AC system in my new house
MVHR:
Systemair SAVE
AC:
Daikin FXNQ-A range internal units connected to Daikin RXYSQ external unit(s) in a VRV system arrangement
Heatpump:
Daikin Altherma range
I have the following requirements for my home assistant setup
- I want everything to work locally without vendor clouds
- I only want one sensor unit in each room - this would be a multi-sensor with temperature, humidity, CO2, presence, etc
- The CO2 reading should control the MVHR (boost if reading is high, etc)
- I want to set a per-room temperature in Home Assistant that controls both the heatpump and the AC (ideally without also installing Daikin-provided additional thermometers)
- If Home Assistant is down, at least the underfloor heating should still work (but fine for AC to be broken)
Has anyone achieved something like this? Is there any reason to believe this won’t work? I’m a little concerned about the AC units in particular, as they seem to be commercial units (as opposed to residential ones)
Any pointers or help is much appreciated. I’m just starting this build now, so thought I’d post here to get an early read on any gotchas or roadblocks
Thanks! <3
