Control White *&* Color on Tuya Ceiling Light

I’ve got this ceiling light:

I’ve got the Tuya integration working (why is this integration such an involved process, that even then doesn’t promise to work for more than a month??). Seems that I can only control EITHER the white OR the color, whereas the app can make both work simultaneously. (It otherwise works fine!) Is there any tweak or trick to allow this functionality through the HA integration? Will the “Local Tuya” do this (I’m using the “non local” version right now!)?

The public Tuya API is garbage. They keep all the good stuff to themselves.

They abandoned the official HA integration and left the HA devs to pick up the pieces.

The wifi devices are badly supported, avoid them if you want to use HA.

Tuya zigbee devices are ok.

I have seen so much about Tuya on various forums, but everything I have experienced has been a disaster. LED strips not supported, Bluetooth won’t stay connected, and at best ceiling fixtures (as in my OP) have minimal function. Why does anyone use these?

Can someone point me to a device in the form factor of the device here in question that has good HA support? For small rooms, these really are what I want.
