Controllable voltage converter transformer for fan

I recently bought a ventilation fan, when I plug it into the wall it goes on max speed. But I would need some way to control the voltage to lower speed/noise of the fan.

I search but one of the device I think can work is this one.
Smart Dimmer Switch

As it seems to be able to change between 230v & V120 which would make me the option to select full speed of half speed. I’m referring to the 1CH version of the Aliexpress dimmer

The fan I’m running is Ventilation fan 100 mm which support variable fan speed

Do you have any other way I could manage this, I have found wall plugs that can control more but they are super expensive and as a student now it’s hard for me to accept such a steep price.

Fan speed controllers (designed for inductive motor loads) and dimmers (designed for non-inductive lighting loads) are NOT the same kind of device - they have different ways of controlling voltage and amperage for thier loads and are NOT interchangeable.

Dimmers are a fire hazard with inductive loads

Look for an appropriately sized ‘fan speed controller’ instead.

People can reccommend some products but we need it know where you’re located to identify appropriate power and radio requirements for your geography…

I was thinking something like this then use some motor to turn the valve which i can control.

Hi! Did you ever find something for this? Facing the same situation.

Just to clear up some confusion here.
The switch on AliExpress does not switch between 240 and 120 volt.
It means it works both in 240 and 120 volt.
It doesn’t switch between 240 and 120.
The output will be the same as the input but the switch can turn the load on or off.
That’s it.
