It is usable! The plug I shared is identical to the one from the WiFi module. 4 pins having modbus a/b and 12v/gnd. The connecter goes in the heatpump and the 4 wires to your ESP.

I do recommend plugging in the loose connector first and measuring the wires to find which cable is what.

I would like to change my Tuya Wifi extention to Modbus.
Had to replace it last year so I still have the old one lying around (can cut the cord to reuse).
Can you point me to the directions of the Lilygo board to use?
