I wonder if the community could offer any experience of smart wifi/ZB thermostats controllable by HA.
I know there are ones from Honeywell, Nest, Tado and others but these are expensive and overkill given that HA has all the smarts needed. I feel I should be abie to use a much less expensive thermostat.
I looked at several Chinese Avatto, Moes and similar that claim integration with Alexa, Tuya etc but its not clear that HA will work with them or what data they expose.
My goal is a wired gas boiler thermostat on the wall that gives manual set point control with a knob and have HA set the temperature regular schedule or override the manual heat setting using the mobile app or voice commands to Alexa.
For this i think i would need a schedule card and a slider control card but it's not clear to me that these are able to control these thermostats.
Any advice/experience gratefully received.
