Hello,
I don’t know if I am overthinking this or not so looking for a fresh perspective.
I have a large drum fan with a three way switch. High Low and Off. High and Low each power a different coil of motor.
I have a Shelly PM2 I was going to wire each coil to a channel but then I would need to rely on software interlock. While it does operate in this setup but has the potential to energize both high and low.
Then I thought an interlock could be done with a SPDT relay (Omron LY1-AC120 SPDT) with one Shelly channel energizing the coil to change speed and the other Shelly channel provides power to com. Is this kosher and the best path forward? Or is there a better way to handle this? I will use whatever hardware to safely accomplish the task…
