Convert Midea minisplit with hisense aeh-w402 to esphome For HA

I have a Pioneer minisplit, that is really just a Dahua Midea. It has a few wires that connect to a Hisense AEH-402 module for WiFi control that would not be local. I have a USB dongle that is said to work with Dahua in Home Assistant and have another minisplit that is setup this way. I really would like to run this minisplit local.

Is there a way to get the Hisense to run locally?
Is there a way to flash the Hisense to esphme?
Is there a cable I could swap in the minisplit to have a usb port for my dongle?
Another option?

Are you sure that your Pioneer minisplit wasn’t made by Midea? If it is, there’s two long threads here about locally controlling Midea (and re-badged units like Pioneer) that have all of the info on how to do it…
