Converting an Arilux AL-LC01 from RGB to ambient white

I’ve been toying with the idea of making my own under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. I found a alu-profile that supports two strips side by side and I was thinking that if I get one cold/natural and one warm strip, I could reprogram an AL-LC01 to let me specify temperature instead of colors. And yes, I know Arilux has a RGBWW controller, but I have no need for RGB under my kitchen cabinets

Another + for the AL-LC01 is that it can run on 5V-28V in, so I can use an old laptop psu to power it, at least until I get something more permanent up and running…

So, have anyone tried to “convert” an AL-LC01 to control only white strips, or would I be the first?

(It would probably be just as easy to start with a NodeMCU or other Esp8266-clone, but I like the size and compactness of the AL-LC-series.)

Try the AL-LC11 then, Can use for RGBWW(RGB+warm white+white) LED strip

Yes I have seen that one, but it’s twice the price and still contains 3 channels I don’t need. I think I need to get one and just start playing around with it.

Using two strips of different white color I would need to have some sort of algorithm to be able to span warm to cold also…
