How to fix this?
Read the second breaking change in the release notes.
I have read the release notes. But I do not know how to fix it. I cannot restart HA because conf is not valid

I think with all of the confusion this is causing the breaking change snippet should probably be more adamant than it being a suggestion.
it should probably read “If you still have discovery: listed in your YAML configuration, you need to remove it.”
otherwise it sounds like if you leave it there it’s no big deal when clearly it is.
I’m not suggesting it will completely stop threads like this if the person doesn’t read the breaking changes. But it will help those users who do read them and possibly get mislead.
Agreed. Strange wording. However english is not Frenk’s first language. Beta testers should have picked that one up. Though it may not have been in the beta release notes. Not sure as I’m not participating while 5000km away from home.

It was in the beta release notes, but since I did not have discovery: in configuration.yaml, I paid no attention to it.
