Is it just me, or are monthly updates taking A LOT longer than they used to, even far longer than they were just a few months ago? Wondering if it’s just bigger or more complex updates or if I should be looking for a root cause on my system?
I did a lot of updates for the betas and final releases, but did not see any big changes. Is a reboot also taking long, and/or are you making a backup before an update? It might be it takes a long time to make the backup, especially if you upload it to cloud services. May be that is taking a long time?
Yeah, it might be the backup. But I’ve been using the backups almost since the beginning (was it January or February) and the delays seem more recent. On the other hand… time flies… so maybe it’s just my perception. I’ll try NOT backing up next time to see how it goes.
If you have a cloud service like Nabu Casa, OneDrive, Google, … for uploads of backups, then the service might be slower, plus backups may get bigger.
