Cover Control Automation (CCA) - Intelligent Automation for Blinds, Awnings & Shutters | Calendar, Sun Shading, Force Functions

Maybe this is also related to my issue: Switched from weather condition to a brightness sensor recently. Although the lux value is lower than threshold, shading is not ended. With Azimut it sems to end properly.

New Update

Today the shading in one of my windows that was working prior to updating has not opened. It should open around 9, and then shade itself. Today, it didn’t open and of course nor shaded.

All my other windows worked just fine.
Here is the trace where I think it should have opened or shaded (sadly, the previous one at 9:01 is lost now)

For some reason the trace is incomplete. Maybe a bug in HA?

Hello! I have a question regarding a “holiday” mode. My wish would be that i can maintain a calendar, import it automatically via iCal, and if there is a holiday maintained, the shutters run like on the weekend. I already managed to run the calendar import, and have maintained it now as a condition if the shutters go up at all, but it would be great to trigger the weekend mode. Has anybody an idea how to manage that?

Check this: Workday - Home Assistant

Hey! Thanks, that helped me. I now built a sensor that is combining my calendar and the workday sensor, lets see if that works.

Hello,
I’m struggling with the tilt feature.
I’ve a shelly qubino wave shutter to control my external venetian blinds.

It has two entities, one for the position of the cover and a separate entity for the angle.
The CCA works fine to set the position, but i can not get the tilt to work.

The standard attribute current_tilt_position which is described in the guide is therefore not available for my shelly’s. Is there some kind of workaround to get the tilt feature to work? I’m pretty new to HA and would need some guidance’s.

The roller blind was apparently moved manually and in your blueprint it is configured so that it should not intervene.

CCA needs everything in one device.
But you can customise it:

I would also be interested in that.
Workday and Holiday don’t actually have any connection to a calendar, do they?

Just try the latest version. It could be due to a bug.

Offtopic - small personal question:
Which AI did you use to analyse and create the ticket?

That was my thought, but thar must be a big, because I didn’t changed it in a long time, thankfully the automation does it all for me. Also, it should reset after certain timeout, no? Today opening and shading worked, but the it didn’t close at the end of the day

100% human actually

Hello everybody,
first of all thanks Herr.Vorragend for providing this nice blueprint !
Atm I’m migrating from iobroker to HA and, because of the amount of features in CCA, I lost the overview about the logics behind the script.

Maybe can I explain my cover logic and someone can tell me, if this is the right blueprint for me ?

Unfortunately, ending shadowing still hardly ever works for me. :frowning:

Shadowing doesn’t start in one room either.

The same thing happens to me. The shading doesn’t end or doesn’t even start. The azimuth end isn’t taken into account. The strange thing is that a few versions ago, everything worked without any problems.

To the people who have problems with shading: which version do you use?

I’m currently considering changing a completely new feature because the shading is now even being executed too often.

What is the intended value for brightness end of I may ask?
